Gyde

Project Overview

Gyde is a social mentorship platform designed to connect mentors (senior students) with mentees (junior and sophomore students) across schools, colleges, and universities. The platform brings academic mentorship, communication, goal setting, scheduling, and student productivity into a single digital experience.

CodeCue was responsible for the full-stack development of Gyde, including the APIs, backend, and front-end application, with the platform designed for both Android and iOS.

The Challenge

Students often need guidance from experienced peers but lack a dedicated platform that combines mentorship, communication, academic support, and progress tracking in one place.

Gyde needed to create a structured environment where senior students could mentor junior students while supporting multiple forms of communication, scheduled mentoring sessions, personal goals, and academic activities.

The Approach

CodeCue delivered the project as a full-stack mobile platform, covering the front-end application, backend infrastructure, and APIs.

The platform was designed around two primary user roles — mentors and mentees — allowing users to connect, communicate, schedule sessions, establish goals and objectives, and evaluate progress.

Gyde also incorporates functionality from the My Backboard application, including academic activities such as dues and assignments, creating a more unified student experience rather than requiring users to manage these activities across separate platforms.
