Project Overview

Podmaps is a digital package-hosting platform designed to help users receive parcels through trusted hosts using an alternative delivery address.

The platform connects users with hosts, where a host can be an individual or an organisation willing to receive packages on behalf of users. Users can select a host's address as their delivery destination, while hosts can manage incoming packages and arrange collection or delivery.

CodeCue developed the cross-platform Flutter mobile applications alongside a web-based administration panel, delivering an end-to-end digital solution for managing hosts, users, packages, payments, communication, and delivery workflows.

The Challenge

Podmaps needed a platform that could connect users who require a delivery address with individuals and organisations willing to host and receive packages on their behalf.

The platform needed to support multiple roles and manage the complete package lifecycle — from selecting and inviting a host to receiving packages, tracking package status, arranging collection or delivery, and managing payments.

The solution also required communication, notifications, reviews, filtering, and administrative controls to create a convenient and transparent experience for both users and hosts.

The Approach

CodeCue designed and developed the mobile applications using Flutter, supported by a web-based administration panel.

The platform was structured around the interaction between users and hosts, allowing hosts to create their hosting services, establish pricing models, manage packages, communicate with users, and arrange pickup or delivery.

Users could discover and filter hosts, send hosting invitations, use host addresses for package deliveries, monitor package status, communicate with hosts, and manage payments through the platform.
